One of the main ways into Hairdressing and we believe the best, is through an apprenticeship. Modern Apprenticeships offers you the opportunity to train for a career, work in the salon and get paid - all at the same time.

You can train as a hairdresser full time, part time at college, or work as an apprentice learning on the job. Within our salon you will qualify with the same NVQ as college students achieve after two years at college. The fundamental difference will be is that you have had valuable work experience which improves your competence as a hairdresser making it more likely to be employed by a salon like Bobbles.

NVQ Level 1 covers the basic introductory skills you need as an assistant hairdresser.

NVQ Level 2 includes all the essential skills you will need to be a hairdresser

NVQ Level 3 cover skills needed for more senior roles.

What salary and other benefits can I expect?

Our first year assistants start on a wage of £100 with increases when a set number of completed NVQ units are passed. You will also get fringe benefits, all your hairdressing services free and your family receive a 50% reduction in their hair services.

Once you have completed your NVQ Level two and you have passed your Bobbles designer test you will be offered a position within the salon.
